WHO WE ARE

In the Physical Sense:  The Church at Rockwood is officially recorded with the State of Oregon as a non-profit organization.  We are not affiliated with any local, state, or national  organizations, other than the Church established by Jesus Christ as outlined in the New  Testament of the Bible. As an autonomous congregation, our  property and our facilities are sustained by the oversight of our    spiritual leaders.

In the Spiritual Sense:  We believe the Bible to be God’s revelation to mankind and our only source of absolute authority in matters  pertaining to faith and practice.  There is only one God, who is the      Father of all, and one Lord, who is our Savior, Jesus Christ, the Son of God in the flesh, and one Spirit by which the Word of God came and is sustained. We observe the Lord’s Supper every Lord’s Day as a  remembrance of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection.  It is our conviction that the tithe and offerings have always been God’s  method of providing the Church with its material needs, and this has not changed in our time.  God is not a God of confusion; therefore, in His Word we find only one plan of salvation whereby all who come into obedience to its precepts enter into the Kingdom of God.  We refuse to  impose upon anyone more than the Word asks of one who seeks to become a member of the Body of Christ, and we will not require less than the Word requires.

In the Practical Sense: We, the members of The Church at Rockwood, do not believe ourselves to be the only Christians.  We strive to be Christians only, who walk in a manner worthy of our calling through the Gospel of Christ.   As Truthists, we are always open to dialogue regarding our theological heritage, so long as such dialogue is limited to revealed revelation and subject to the process of reason.
